A Career Competency Workshop 'Roadmap to Rewarding Careers & College Admits' was organised for the students of Grade X, XI & XII on 19 April 2024 at Delhi Public School Panipat Refinery with the intent of informing students about the multitude career options. Mr Abhishek Gupta, founder & CEO-High School Moms emphasized the significance of selecting the right streams and shared some exciting career choices for students which kept them glued to their seats. Through an engaging session, Mr Gupta guided the students to map out their career plans, determine the higher education courses considering necessary job skills. With productive discussions and success stories, the seminar provided a roadmap for future endeavours. Overall, the seminar served as a platform for students to gain acumen for rewarding career pathways. The students loved being a part of this seminar.

 

 


Recognizing the significance of preparing students for the future world of workforce, Delhi Public School Panipat Refinery, organised a transformative seminar on Career Options after grade XII. The resource person, Mr Arindam Bhattacharya, while addressing grade IX-XII students focussed on future skills and career readiness in different future scenarios. He advised the students to delve deeper to identify their skills. The session ignited fervour for academic pursuits, inspiring students to aim high. From invaluable insights to empowering guidance, it was a day to ignite aspirations and chart paths to success.

  

 


Grade IX had a two day tour to Morni Hills on 8th and 9th March 2024. They were fully immersed in the boundless joy of array of fun filled activities amidst the pristine surrounding of Woods and Hills. The visit to Morni Fort was the perfect example of experintial learning as they had the hands on feel of the history of time along with sensitization towards nature and wildlife. Also they felt thrilled doing camp site activities like Zipline, Burma Bridge, rope climbing etc. blended with morning trekking to Morni forest followed by trekking to Kali Mata temple and refreshing evening at Tikkar Taal. And not to mention,  visit to adventure park, evening DJ, musical chair and bonfire were icing on the cake.


 


Two day tour to Morni Hills on 5th and 6th March 2034 was a wonderful experience for the students of grade XI. Students had exhilarating experience of trekking, doing zipline and other thrilling activities. On the one hand afternoon leisurely stroll to Tikkar Taal was a heart refreshing experience, on the other hand evening of Morni Hills lit their faces when they danced on the tunes of melodious music around the bonfire. The tour not only offered them thrill and joy,  but they learnt some life lessons also like leadership skills, organisational skills, responsibility and adaptibility.


 


An Inter Section Elocution Extravaganza competition was organised by Deptt. Of English of our school on 27th February 2024 for the students of classes III to V.  The best three position of each class were awarded certificates.

 


The school team represented by 05 students won four Gold Medals in Inter School Taekwondo Competition U/14 category competing against 15 teams of leading schools of Panipat.  The competition was held at PIET Sanskriti Sr. School, NFL, Panipat on 20th Feb’2024.  The sporting skills of students befittingly earned the laurels for them and the school.  

 


09 students got 1st Rank, 07 Students got 2nd Rank & 07 students got 3rd Rank out of 68 students from classes V to XII in NSTSE 2023-24 which was held on 15th Dec’2023.

 


12 students out of 54 students from classes V to XII awarded certificate of merit in Green Olympiad organised by Teri which was held on 2nd November 2023 in school campus.

 


49 students from classes V to XII achieved Gold Medal of Excellence and 13 students qualified for Level II, Also 01 student achieved Medal of Distinction in International Maths Olympiad (IMO) which was held on 31st Oct’23 in school campus.

 


Two day Adventure Camp was organised on the school campus on 17th and 18th February 2024 for the students of classes IV to VIII. The students got opportunity to participate in myriad thrilling activities like; Zip Line, Commando Crawl, Wall Climbing, Commando Net, Trampoline, Spider Web, Mogly Walk, Burma Bridge, Tarzan Swing, Human Wheel, Hopscotch, Zorbing Roller etc.The presence of their class teachers was a morale booster for the kids. All the activities of the camp were held under the supervision of the trained and licensed professionals. The camp activities not only gave the students limitless joy, but a lot of learning also. The children felt rejuvenated and confident and got infused with virtues like team spirit, sportsmanship, camaraderie and sharing & caring.

          


 


Productivity Week 2024 in association with Panipat Refinery was organised in the school on 16th February 2024. An array of competitions was organised on the theme "Artificial Intelleigence - Productivity Engine for Economy Growth". Elocution Competition was organised for the students of class VIII.  The students of classes VI and VII displayed their artistic skills in the Drawing & Painting  Competition. Additionally the students of class VII and VIII participated in Quiz Competition too.

    

 


Our school student Garima Kaliraman, Class X won a BRONZE MEDAL in the esteemed Khelo India Youth Games (Category: Football, Under 19 years) held in Tamil Nadu from 19th to 31st January, 2024.

 


Archit Arora of grade X has bagged position in top 100 at Regional Level (Panchkula Region) in the 2nd round of the prestigious Aryabhatta Ganit Challenge 2023 organised by CBSE. He achieved this amazing feat by competing with 8590 students at the National Level 2nd round Exam and 550000 students from 5050 schools in the 1st round.

 


35 students out of 305 students from classes V to XII achieved Gold Medal of Excellence and 15 students qualified for Level II, Also 02 students achieved Medal of Distinction in International English Olympiad by Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) which was held on 12th October 2023 in school campus.

 


43 students from classes V to XII achieved Gold Medal of Excellence and 26 students qualified for Level II, Also 02 students achieved Medal of Distinction in National Science Olympiad by Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) which was held on 17th October 2023 in school campus.

 


Our Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi engaged in an interactive session with students on 29th January 2024 at 11:00 on live Broadcast. during the 7th edition of Pariksha pe Charcha 2024 event which was aimed at addressing exam related stress and providing tips for effective exam preparation.  Mr. Modi shared anecdotes from his own life, emphasizing the importance of staying calm, focused and maintain a positive attitude during exams.  He advised students to focus on learning rather than solely on achieving high grades and encourages them to pursue their passions alongside academics.  Throughout the interaction, he emphasised the value of resilience, determination and self confidence in overcoming challenges and achieving success in life.

 


Our School Teams (Nasreen Parveen & Ruhaan Nagpal, Class IX) participated in Prerna Utsav-Experiential Learning Programme organized by CBSE held at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Naultha, Panipat on 23rd January, 2024.  01 Student, Nasreen Parveen was qualified for Round I (Poem Writing) and faced an interview in Round II.

 


DPS Panipat Refinery hosted an interactive career counselling session on January 20, 2024, in collaboration with PACE IIT, Mumbai. Spearheading the event, the Principal, Mr. Surender P. Sachdeva, held an engaging session focussing on stream allocation for grade X students soon transitioning to class XI. Mr. Sachdeva advised students to pursue individual interests for class XI, negating any extraneous pressure. PACE IIT, represented by Mr. Sandeep Singhla, emphasized on career perspectives while giving an overview of the Accelerated Learning Programme. The session received positive feedback from the large gathering of parents present on the occasion. Answering the audience queries, the Principal assured that DPS Panipat Refinery remains committed to empowering students for informed career choices.

An Inter House Cricket Tournament for boys was held on 22nd Dec., 2023 for classes V to VIII.  Aravalli House bagged 1st position followed by Vindhyachal House.

 


A special assembly on “Christmas” was held on 21st December by class X A students. Students enlightened everyone by presenting a thought & speech related to Christmas. The Theatre club students enthralled everyone by presenting a skit “A Christmas Carol.” The music club students mesmerised all by their scintillating performance. Our Principal, Mr. Suriender P. Sachdeva graced the occasion by giving the prizes to the students for the various competitions held recently. The assembly culminated by the valuable & motivational words of the Principal.

  

 


An Inter Section Spell Bee Competition  has been organised for class VII on 21st December 2023 among 12 participants who were shortlisted  on the basis of Intra Section Spell Bee Competition held previously in this month. The participants gave a nail biting competition to each other in the four rounds that had taken place namely - Correct Me, Find Me, Spell Me Right Rounds(2). Finally Aradhya of VII B bagged the First Position followed by Ark Kumar Singh of VII C and Shraddha Chattopadhyay of VII B at Second and Third Position and Ahana Supkar of VII B for consolation Position respectively.



02 students, Nuha Siddiqui & Shelby Singh, class VIII participated in State Level 31st National Children Science Congress was organised by Haryana Vigyan Manch held at Sheikhpura Khalsa Sen. Sec. School, Karnal on 16th & 17th Dec.’ 23.

 


An Inter-House football Tournament (Boys) for classes VI-VIII was conducted with full zest and fervour on 15th December 2023 in the school stadium. The Principal, Mr. Surendra P. Sachdeva, graced the occasion along with the Headmaster, Mr. Mani Bhushan. Football teams of all four houses i.e. Aravalli, Nilgiri, Shivalik and Vindhyachal enthralled the spectators with high strung matches. Aravalli and Shivalik house reached the final in which Aravalli house beat Shivalik by score 2-0.
A match was also played between Nilgiri and Vindhyachal for 3rd and 4th position. Nilgiri house defeated Vindhyachal house by score 4-2 and bagged the third position.

       

 


An Inter house Football Tournament for boys was held on 15th Dec., 2023 for classes VI to X.  Aravalli House bagged 1st position followed by Shivalik House.


04 students from classes IV to XI online participated in 3rd CBSE Expression Series 2023 was conducted under the theme “Disaster Risk Resilience & Reduction: Role of a Citizen”.  The first round of the competition was conducted in the school on 11th Dec.’23.  Students participated in all the four categories i. e. Primary, Middle, Secondary and Senior Secondary and they wrote self composed Paragraphs/Poems/Essays on the given topics.  01 best entry was selected from each category and uploaded on CBSE Expression Series App on 15th dec.’23
